In February 2010, Los Polo was in charge of the first import of a Biodigester Equipment to be put into use in General Pico city.
Los Polo’s Trading Service allowed for the import process to be successfully developed including the dynamic assessment and management required by the operation.

A Biodigester is a natural and eco-friendly system that makes use of the anaerobic digestion (in the absence of oxygen) of bacteria inhabiting manure, in order to transform it into biogas and fertilizer. Biogas is used as fuel for cookers, lighting and, in larger systems, it may be used to feed an engine generating electricity. The fertilizer, called Biol, has been considered as a secondary product; however, it is gaining prominence as it provides farming companies with a natural fertilizer that strongly improves the performance of crops.
